Css Website Submission

In order for site to be considered for the admission to the gallery, please follow these guidelines:

Use CSS for layout and styling

It is vital that your site first and foremost be developed using XHTML and CSS before being considered. CSS must be used to create a table-less layout that is compatible in most modern browsers (Firefox, IE, Safari). Although encouraged, it is not a requirement to have your code validate.

Be aesthetic pleasing and consistent

Your site should make use of modern graphic design techniques used in an effective and creative manner. Use effects and colors in a consistent manner to create a solid experience throughout the entire site. Doing so will demonstrate the power and beauty of CSS-based design.

Utilize intuitive navigation and labeling

The site must be easy-to-use and intuitive — it should have meaningful navigation labels and appropriate content and wording in each page.

Minimize extra features

Sites that make use of additional features, such as Flash or Javascript, must be done in a way that doesn’t overshadow the XHTML/CSS. An example of this, is Flash-based navigation menus that can just as easily be crafted with CSS.

Link to Us!

Design CSS thrives on support from the community, and special consideration will be given to those sites that link to Design CSS. If your site gets showcased in the gallery, Design CSS always appreciates a link back. Please make use of the following logos and buttons as a badge of honor to place on your site (coming soon).

When you are ready to submit you may do so below. There is no limit to how many times you can submit a design, but if you don’t see you’re site posted within about 3 days, chances are it didn’t make the grade. It’s important not to get discouraged! If at first you don’t succeed, keep trying and tweaking, and eventually one of your sites will be showcased in the gallery.
